 55  既然得救是本乎恩 ,   因著信 

, 為什麼還要 [ 作成得救的功夫 ]

答 :  我們蒙神救贖 ,  在神面前得稱為義 ,  完全出於神白白得恩賜 

但我們也還要倚靠聖靈的幫助 ,  盡上自己的本分,  還要努力追求 ,  潔淨自己 . 

這就是作成得救的功夫 .

哥林多後書  Corinthians  7 : 1

7:1 親愛的弟兄啊，我們既有這等應許，就當潔淨自己，除去身體、靈魂一切的污穢，敬畏　神，得以成聖。
 

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

腓立比書  Philippians  2 : 12 – 13

2:12 這樣看來，我親愛的弟兄，你們既是常順服的，不但我在你們那裡，就是我如今不在你們那裡，更是順服的，就當恐懼戰兢做成你們得救的工夫。

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

2:13 因為你們立志行事都是　神在你們心裡運行，為要成就他的美意。
 

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

約翰壹書  1  John  3 : 3

3:3 凡向他有這指望的，就潔淨自己，像他潔淨一樣。

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
