61    教會的特徵是什麼

答 : 教會的第一個特徵是 [ 聖 ] ,  [ 聖 ] 的意思是說 ,  教會是屬神的 ,  是聖潔的 ,  另一個特徵是 [ 公 ] . 

[ 公 ] 的意思是說 ,  普天之下凡屬基督耶穌的人 ,  都同屬於一個教會 ,  而不應分門別類 .  

哥林多前書  11 : 17 –19

11:17 我現今吩咐你們的話，不是稱讚你們；因為你們聚會不是受益，乃是招損。
Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

11:18 第一，我聽說，你們聚會的時候彼此分門別類，我也稍微地信這話。
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. divisions: or, schisms

1:19 在你們中間不免有分門結黨的事，好叫那些有經驗的人顯明出來。
For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. heresies: or, sects

但是 ,  各個國家 ,  各個地區和各個歷史時期的教會 ,  又各有其特殊的恩典與託付 ,  有其各自的特點和特色 .

哥林多前書  12 : 13 – 14

12:13 我們不拘是猶太人，是希臘人，是為奴的，是自主的，都從一位聖靈受洗，成了一個身體，飲於一位聖靈。
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Gentiles: Gr. Greeks

12:14 身子原不是一個肢體，乃是許多肢體。
For the body is not one member, but many.
