「信……是未見之事的確據。」（聖經希伯來書十一章 1 節）
希伯來書 Hebrews 11 : 1, 6, 7
11:1 信就是所望之事的實底，是未見之事的確據。
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen. substance: or, ground, or, confidence
11:6 人非有信，就不能得 神的喜悅；因為到 神面前來的人必須信有 神，且信他賞賜那尋求他的人。
But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently
seek him.
11:7 挪亞因著信，既蒙 神指示他未見的事，動了敬畏的心，預備了一隻方舟，使他全家得救。因此就定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那從信而來的義。
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with
fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned
the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. moved...:

真信心把信件投在郵箱裡以後，就讓它去了。不信把信件放在郵箱口，執住一角，不肯脫手；同時又詫異回信還沒有來。
在我的書桌裡有好幾封寫就了好久的信，到今天還沒有發出去，因為我不確知地址有否錯誤。
它們對於我和我的親友還沒有發生什麼關係。它們也永遠不會發生什麼，除非我把它們投在郵箱裡，完全信託郵局。
真信心就是這樣。它把事情交給神以後，就讓它去了。神就成全。
聖經詩篇三十七篇五節說得很好：
「當將你的事交託耶和華，並倚靠祂，祂就必成全。」
但是我們不交託，神就不成全。
詩篇 Psalms
37 : 3 - 9
37:3 你當倚靠耶和華而行善，住在地上，以他的信實為糧；
Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily
thou shalt be fed. verily: Heb. in truth, or, stableness
37:4 又要以耶和華為樂，他就將你心裡所求的賜給你。
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine
heart.
37:5 當將你的事交託耶和華，並倚靠他，他就必成全。
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to
pass. Commit...: Heb. Roll thy way upon
37:6 他要使你的公義如光發出，使你的公平明如正午。
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as
the noonday.
37:7 你當默然倚靠耶和華，耐性等候他；不要因那道路通達的和那惡謀成就的心懷不平。
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him
who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to
pass. Rest in: Heb. Be silent to
37:8 當止住怒氣，離棄忿怒；不要心懷不平，以致作惡。
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
37:9 因為作惡的必被剪除；惟有等候耶和華的必承受地土。
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall
inherit the earth.
信就是接受，或更準確一點「領取」神所預備的禮物。
