幾字傳記

我在大學裡教寫作課，我想用一種有趣的方式來教學生有關傳記素材的概念。我找到一個點子：寫篇六字傳記。普立茲獎得主海明威（Ernest Hemingway）根據這個要求，曾寫下這則充滿辛酸的傳記：「待售：童鞋，未用。」你可以想像這六個字背後的悲傷故事。

當我想到這個點子時，不禁也想到，是否能用幾個字為聖經裡的人物寫出傳記呢？結果，我的發現讓人驚訝。原來聖經已經用幾個字幫許多人寫出傳記了。

例如上帝 稱大衛是「合祂心意的人」

撒母耳記上  1  Samuel  13 : 14

13:14 現在你的王位必不長久。耶和華已經尋著一個合他心意的人，立他作百姓的君，因為你沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐你的。」
But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

使徒行傳  Acts  13 : 22 - 23

13:22 既廢了掃羅，就選立大衛作他們的王，又為他作見證說：我尋得耶西的兒子大衛，他是合我心意的人，凡事要遵行我的旨意。
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
 

13:23 從這人的後裔中，　神已經照著所應許的，為以色列人立了一位救主，就是耶穌。
Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

保羅自稱為「基督耶穌使徒」

以弗所書  Ephesians  1 : 1

1:1 奉　神旨意，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅，寫信給在以弗所的聖徒，就是在基督耶穌裡有忠心的人。
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

保羅稱提摩太為「因信主 作我真兒子」

提摩太前書  1  Timothy  1 : 2

1:2 寫信給那因信主作我真兒子的提摩太。願恩惠、憐憫、平安從父　神和我們主基督耶穌歸與你！
Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

再看聖經如何描述馬利亞：「童女懷孕生子」

（馬太福音1章23節）

1:23 說：「必有童女懷孕生子；人要稱他的名為以馬內利。」（以馬內利翻出來就是「　神與我們同在」。）
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. they...: or, his name shall be called

而聖經描述耶穌：「道成了肉身，住在我們中 間。」

約翰福音  John  1: 14

1:14 道成了肉身，住在我們中間，充充滿滿的有恩典有真理。我們也見過他的榮光，正是父獨生子的榮光。
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

當我們看到這些傳記，貼切地描述了上帝兒女的信心時，應捫心自問：哪幾個字能真實地描述我自己呢？是正面還是負面的字眼呢？會是「叫人很難愛他」？還是「為主發光的人」？你的幾字傳記是什麼？JDB
